During a town hall that was part of President Obama's trip to the U.K., a person announced they were "non-binary," not identifying as male or female. The unscripted moment came amid questions from the British LGBT community about controversial so-called "religious freedom" laws that were recently adopted in North Carolina and Mississippi. Pitmaster Melissa Cookston developed a passion for "cue" growing up around pit-fire grills and Southern Delta cooking in Mississippi. That passion was re-ignited in the late 90's at a barbeque contest, and she's been smoking the competition ever since. Today she is the only female barbecue world champion. After years on the competition junket, she returned home, opening her Memphis Barbecue Co. restaurant, now with three locations across the Southeast. Her latest cookbook, "Smokin' Hot in the South: New Grilling Recipes from the Winningest Woman in Barbecue," is due out in May. Cookson joins "CBS This Morning: Saturday" to share her passion for barbeque and some signature dishes.

Mississippi faces a major corporate backlash over its so-called “religious freedom law." Executives from GE, Pepsi, Levi Strauss and other companies sent a letter Wednesday to Gov. Phil Bryant, condemning the new law as discriminatory. Mississippi joins North Carolina in allowing businesses to deny service to LGBT people. Georgia’s governor last week vetoed a similar bill.
