Harris takes on Trump at Wisconsin rally

Vice President Kamala Harris rallied voters in West Allis, Wisconsin, Tuesday during her first 2024 campaign stop since President Biden dropped out of the race. Harris touted her journey as a California prosecutor and poked at former President Donald Trump's recent trajectory in the courts. She also advocated for women's reproductive rights and praised Mr. Biden's tenure as president. CBS News senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang reports.

Security at RNC in Milwaukee

The Trump campaign increased security at their offices in Washington, D.C., and West Palm Beach following Saturday's shooting at a Pennsylvania rally where former President Donald Trump's ear was grazed by a bullet and a bystander was killed. The assassination attempt comes days before the Republican National Convention is set to kick off in Milwaukee. CBS News political correspondent Caitlin Huey-Burns has more on the security measures at the convention.
