Top military leaders on U.S. credibility

During their first public appearance before Congress since the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, were asked by Senator Roger Wicker, a Republican from Mississippi, whether the chaotic pullout "damaged" U.S. credibility with allies. Air Force officials to review Kabul drone strike

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has ordered the Air Force to appoint a three star general to review Central Command's investigation into an airstrike that mistakenly killed civilians in Afghanistan instead of the ISIS-K fighters.
