Pentagon identifies drone attack victims

The Department of Defense announced Monday that Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, Georgia, Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders, 24, of Waycross, Georgia, and Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, of Savannah, Georgia, were the three Army reserve soldiers killed during a drone attack at a military base in Jordan Sunday. Deputy Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh briefs reporters on the attack and CBS News national security correspondent David Martin shares details from his reporting.

With the presidential election less than a year away, "Face the Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan says "let's all bring some civility back to our politics — the serious issues facing our country require it."

U.S. asking Israel to delay ground offensive

Two sources told CBS News the U.S. has sought to slow Israel's plans for a ground invasion in order to prioritize the release of hostages and the distribution of aid. The White House said Sunday that Israel had agreed to allow a "continued flow of assistance" into Gaza after more than two weeks of a complete blockade cut the Palestinian enclave's roughly 2.3 million inhabitants off from supplies. CBS News foreign correspondent Ian Lee has more.
