The statement also disavowed a Sunday tweet sent out by the Birmingham branch of the National Weather Service that said Alabama would not be impacted by the storm. The president of the National Weather Service Employees Organization fired back, calling NOAA's statement “utterly disgusting and disingenuous.” Weija Jiang reports.
