What we know about shots fired near Trump

The FBI is leading the investigation into what it said "appears to be an attempted assassination attempt" of former President Donald Trump on Sunday. Trump is "safe and unharmed" after Secret Service agents engaged with a suspect pointing a high-powered rifle at the golf course where the former president was golfing in West Palm Beach, Florida, officials said. Where are Harris and Trump campaigning?

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are both traveling through battleground states this week. The Harris campaign officially launched its "fighting for reproductive freedom" bus tour Tuesday in Florida. Meanwhile, Trump is scheduled to address a Fraternal Order of Police event in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Friday. Inside Trump's comments on reproductive rights

Former President Donald Trump's positions on reproductive rights are angering some on both the right and left. Just recently he criticized Florida's six-week abortion ban and said the government or insurance should cover the costs of in vitro fertilization. At the same time, the Republican nominee took credit for overturning Roe v. Wade in an interview with CBS News earlier this month. CBS News political correspondent Caitlin Huey-Burns has more.
