Late Friday night Hurricane Lane weakened to a tropical storm. However, it is still a danger to the Hawaiian Islands bringing maximum sustained winds of about 65 mph, torrential rains and severe flooding. The storm is about 135 miles south of Honolulu and is projected to veer west, skirting the islands, at about three mph but is not expected to make landfall. Mireya Villarreal reports.
