Trump Jan. 6 indictment could be imminent

Former President Donald Trump spent the past weekend railing against possible charges coming in a federal Jan. 6 investigation, claiming it is a witch hunt. Trump has already been indicted in a federal case in Florida and a state case in New York. He also could be indicted in an election interference case in Georgia. CBS News investigative reporter Graham Kates has more on the possible new charges and senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang reports on how Trump's legal fees are being paid.

Trump pretrial scheduling hearing concludes

Judge Aileen Cannon said an order would come "promptly" on scheduling for the Trump classified documents case after a pretrial hearing Tuesday. During the hearing the Trump team proposed that a trial be scheduled in mid-November 2024, just after the presidential election. 2024 GOP candidates on Supreme Court rulings

Former President Donald Trump and other Republican presidential candidates over the weekend praised the recent rulings by the Supreme Court. The court's six conservative-leaning justices ruled against affirmative action and President Biden's student loan forgiveness plan last week, among other decisions. CBS News' Skyler Henry and senior White House and political correspondent Ed O'Keefe have more on the responses from both sides of the aisle.
