Biden touts infrastructure plan in Pennsylvania

President Biden visited Scranton, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday to promote key aspects of his economic agenda to working class Americans. Back in Washington, Democrats are inching closer to an agreement on a spending bill for investments in social and climate infrastructure. House Democrat on social spending bill

The size of President Biden's proposed social spending bill could be significantly reduced after the president took a more prominent role in negotiations. The first major item that appears to be out is tuition-free community college, and guaranteed paid family leave could be reduced from 12 weeks to possibly four. Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat who represents New Jersey's 11th Congressional District, joined CBSN's Tanya Rivero to discuss the bill.

McAuliffe makes his pitch to Black voters

As the race for Virginia governor tightens, Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe is making a pitch to the Black voters in the state. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams campaigned for the former Virginia governor over the weekend.
