Who will win the fight over drug prices?

Medicare is scheduled to start negotiating lower prices in the fall with drug companies as a part of the Inflation Reduction Act President Biden signed in 2022, but several of the largest players hope they never have to negotiate at all. Leading industry groups sued the administration in June, claiming the program violates the First and Fifth Amendments. Josh Nathan-Kazis, health care reporter for Barron's, joined CBS News to examine the legal arguments in the case.

U.S. soldier detained in North Korea

A U.S. soldier is being detained in North Korea after officials said he crossed over into the country "willfully and without authorization." The soldier had been released from military detention and was being escorted out of South Korea, but he somehow joined a tour group after going through airport security. Biden celebrates NATO summit achievements

President Biden is headed back from Europe after meeting with the leaders of Nordic nations in Helsinki on Thursday. The president is celebrating several significant goals achieved at the NATO summit in Lithuania, including Turkey's decision to back Sweden's bid to join the alliance and new security commitments for Ukraine.
