Sanders had a lead in the popular vote while Pete Buttigieg had a razor-thin lead in delegates. "When 6,000 more people come out for you in an election than your nearest opponent, we here in Northern New England call that a victory," Sanders said Thursday. Watch his full speech.
According to the campaign, the January cash haul comes from 1.3 million donations by more than 648,000 people.
