Senate to vote on abortion bill next week

The Senate will vote next week on legislation that would enshrine abortion rights into federal law. The bill - destined to fail in the divided Senate - is Democrats’ latest reaction to the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion on a crucial abortion case. Dave Chappelle's accused attacker has been charged with four misdemeanor counts, but no felonies. And in a bargain of historical proportions, a Texas woman picked up a 2,000-year-old sculpture that once belonged to a king from a Goodwill shop for $35.

Pennsylvania's GOP Senate debate

Five Republican candidates running for Pennsylvania's open Senate seat debated Wednesday night. The issue of abortion took center stage days after the leak of a majority draft opinion indicating the Supreme Court is preparing to overturn Roe v. Wade. CBS News political reporter Caitlin Huey-Burns joins CBS News' Mola Lenghi and Tanya Rivero to discuss how politicians are handling the issue on the campaign trail, as well as the lack of support available in the U.S. for women with or seeking to have children.

With Roe in doubt, little aid for families

The possibility of the U.S. Supreme Court scrapping federal protection for abortion rights is drawing new attention to the lack of resources and support for people raising children. Data included in an amicus brief filed on behalf of the Jackson Women's Health Organization in Mississippi shows that 14 of the states with the most restrictive abortion laws invest the least in policies and programs to assist women, children and families. CBS News political reporter Caitlin Huey-Burns joins Vladimir Duthiers and Anne-Marie Green to discuss who might be impacted most by the court's potential decision.
