Trump: I accept U.S. intel findings on Russia

President Trump has clarified the controversial comments he made during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland. At the White House, Mr. Trump said he does accept the conclusion of the U.S. intelligence community that Russia meddled in the 2016 presidential election. In Helsinki, the president appeared to accept Putin's denial. Trump: I misspoke about Russian meddling

President Trump says he misspoke when he answered a question about Russian interference in the 2016 election during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the press conference Monday, Mr. Trump said about Putin, "He just said it's not Russia. I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be." At the White House the next day, Mr. Trump said that he meant to say, "I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be Russia."
