WWE, 49ers Confirm Levi's Stadium To Host WrestleMania In 2015
SANTA CLARA (KCBS) — Pro wrestling's largest event is coming to Silicon Valley in 2015. The new 49ers stadium in Santa Clara will host to WrestleMania 31, less than a year before it plays host to the Super Bowl.
49ers CEO Jed York and WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon made the announcement during a briefing at Levi's Stadium on Tuesday.
"It's just awesome to see what we can put together here. We've brought the Super Bowl to Santa Clara and now to bring WWE's Super Bowl, it's just going to be an unbelievable event," York said.

Mayor Jamie Matthews said the economic impact of the popular sports-entertainment event will be felt throughout the Bay Area.
"This week-long celebration will bring more than 70,000 fans to this great city, including what could be more than $100 million in economic activity," he said.
McMahon said the event will attract fans from around the world.
"I assure you that WrestleMania will rival, if not supersede, the Super Bowl and perhaps anything else that's going to be in that extraordinary facility," McMahon said.
The week-long event is scheduled to take begin on March 29, 2015.
