Workers Hurt In Caldecott Tunnel Construction Accident
ORINDA (BCN) - Two Caltrans employees were injured Wednesday morning while working on the fourth bore of the Caldecott Tunnel, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

Shortly before 7 a.m., the workers were injured in the construction zone and have injuries that are not considered to be life threatening, CHP Officer Jonathon Short said.
Because the workers were injured in the construction zone, the incident did not impact traffic on state Highway 24, Short said.
"It's not on the road," he said. "In fact, it's actually even out of the sight of traffic going by."
