Woman's Body Found On Highway 101 In San Jose

SAN JOSE (BCN) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating how the body of a female ended up on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose early Saturday morning.

Shortly before 4 a.m., a CHP officer was approached by someone who reported a body lying on northbound Highway 101 north of Tully Road. The officer, who was handling an unrelated incident nearby, responded to the area and found the body, the CHP said.

The CHP has not determined whether the female was walking on the highway or had come from the Tully Road overcrossing.

A witness said that two unidentified vehicles possibly struck the body while it was lying on the highway. A third vehicle, a 2007 Toyota also struck the body, and remained at the scene, according to the CHP.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact CHP Officer Hubble at (408) 467-5400.
