Woman Uses Facebook Message To Serve Hard-To-Find Spouse With Divorce Papers
MENLO PARK (CBS SF) -- Facebook might be the newest way for unhappy spouses to serve divorce papers when conventional methods fail.
A Brooklyn woman was able to serve her husband divorce papers through Menlo Park-based Facebook's message system, winning a judge's approval the NY Daily News reported.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper allowed nurse Ellanora Baidoo to use the social network's messaging system to serve the notice through her lawyer.
According to Baidoo's lawyer, the marriage was never consummated.
"So far, he hasn't responded," the attorney told the Daily News.
