Woman Found Dead In Santa Rosa; May Have Been Stabbed
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) - Santa Rosa police were investigating the death of a woman whose body was found by a jogger Thursday morning near College Avenue and Fourth Street.
The jogger discovered the body in the 1200 block of Fourth Street near The Lampshade Shop around 5:20 a.m. A responding ambulance crew deemed the death suspicious and police were called to the scene.
The body is that of a woman who appeared to be in her mid-20s, and police were investigating the death as a possible homicide, police Sgt. Dave Linscomb said.
He said it appears the woman may have been stabbed.
Her body, which police said was fully clothed, was found in the driveway of Bertolone Realty, which was cordoned off with crime scene tape Thursday morning.
