Woman Assaulted, Robbed In Vallejo While Meeting Online Date
VALLEJO (BCN) - A woman who thought she was meeting a date was held at gunpoint and had her car stolen in Vallejo on Monday night, a police sergeant said.
The woman, 25, met the suspect through an online dating service, Sgt. Jeff Bassett said.
She talked to him on the phone at about 9 p.m. and thought she was meeting him to go out for dinner, Bassett said.
The victim borrowed her friend's Kia Spectra and drove to a home in the Meadows neighborhood just south of American Canyon, Bassett said.
When she arrived at the door, a man grabbed her by the hair and pulled her inside, Bassett said.
There were two men inside and one was armed with a gun, Bassett said.
The suspects took the victim's car and fled, he said.
Police are still searching for the suspects, described as two black men about 25 years old. One, described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 170 pounds, has dreadlocks and tattoos on his neck, Bassett said.
The car is a black 2008 Kia Spectra with Oregon license plate No. AAG0652.
Anyone who spots the vehicle is urged to call 911.
