Woman, 4 Men From South Bay Arrested In SoCal Abduction, Prostitution Plot

SAN JOSE (CBS/AP) - Five people have been arrested in Moreno Valley for allegedly abducting an 18-year-old woman and sexually assaulting her, with plans to force her into prostitution.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department identified the suspects as four men in their 20s and 30s from San Jose and Gilroy and a 20-year-old woman from San Jose. They were booked on suspicions of human trafficking, abduction for prostitution, false imprisonment, kidnapping for sexual assault, as well as attempted pimping and pandering.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance at a Moreno Valley hotel Friday and found an 18-year-old woman who said she'd been kidnapped Thursday in Compton by four men and a woman armed with a semi-automatic handgun. Officers stopped the suspects as they tried to flee.
