Witnesses Too Drunk To Help Police Investigating Newark Bar Fight
NEWARK (CBS SF) - Officers responded to a fight outside of a bar in Newark early Sunday morning but were unable to conduct an investigation until the witnesses were sober, police said.
Police got a call just before 1:45 a.m. of a melee outside of the Whiskeytown Saloon at 5660 Thornton Ave., where they found a man on the ground with a head injury, police said.
He was transported to Eden Medical Center.
One was arrested but police were unable to conduct an investigation because of a lack of cooperation and a high level of intoxication from the witnesses, police said.
