Wind Advisories Issued For Region, Bay Area Bridges
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A wind advisory will be in effect for coastal and hill areas of the Bay Area later Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
As of early Tuesday morning the California Highway Patrol also issued wind advisories for all Bay Area bridges.
The advisory for the San Rafael-Richmond, San Mateo, Dumbarton and Benicia bridges went into effect at 5:30 a.m. The Bay Bridge wind advisory went into effect after just before 1 a.m., according to the CHP.
The National Weather Service advisory was set to begin at noon and remain in place until midnight.

Winds gusts of at least 45 mph were expected Tuesday along the San Francisco coast and onto southern Monterey, according to weather officials. The hills in the East and North Bay along with the Santa Cruz Mountains were also expected to be impacted by windy weather.
These windy conditions can make driving difficult. Weather officials advise caution while driving, especially in a high profile vehicle.
