Lawnmower Ignites Wildfire in the Napa Valley
NAPA, Calif. (KCBS)_Fire crews are making progress on a wildfire on Mount Saint Helena north of Calistoga.
The California Highway Patrol closed Highway 29 north of Calistoga for a time because of the fire, but it was re-opened at 8:30 p.m.
The fire started Friday afternoon at Robert Louis Stevenson State Park according to a Calistoga fire spokesman.
CalFire spokesman Daniel Berlant says the fire burned 10 to 12 acres, but has stopped growing.
Firefighters battled the blaze from the air and the ground.
Five houses were threatened in the ordeal. Berlant says the fire was started by a lawn mower.
