Whitney Houston Flash Mob Erupts In The Castro
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - We've seen Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson and Madonna flash mobs pop up recently in the Bay Area. Now of course, an impromptu Whitney Houston flash mob erupted on the streets of the Castro District in San Francisco.
It was a normal Friday night on Market and Castro Streets when all of sudden a group of pedestrians pranced out towards the middle of the street while the intro to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" rang out on a nearby boombox. Others joined in on the routine and a bigger group of on-lookers formed to watch the spectacle. The flash mob grew larger to over a hundred dancers before it ended, all in celebration for the late R&B singer.
48 year-old Whitney Houston was found dead in her Beverly Hilton hotel room on February 11th. Her death was caused by accidental drowning, but heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors, according to coroner's officials. The announcement Thursday ends weeks of speculation about what killed the Grammy-winning singer. She was laid to rest in New Jersey on February 19th, the day after she was mourned at a star-studded funeral. Her will leaves everything to her 19-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
