Warriors Open NBA Summer League Tourney As No. 1 Seed
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CBS SF) -- The Golden State Warriors, undefeated in NBA summer league play since 2010, earned the No. 1 seed in the inaugural summer league tourney of 22 teams.
Golden State facea the 16th-seeded Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night in Las Vegas.
The Mavericks defeated the 17th-seeded Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday in the first-round of tourney games.
The Warriors earned the first overall seed in the tournament - and a first-round 'bye' - by compiling a 3-0 record in their first three games of the summer.
Golden State has also set a summer league record by winning 10 consecutive games dating back to 2010.
