Warriors' Curry A Game-Time Call With Ankle Sprain
OAKLAND (CBS Sports) -- During the third quarter of the Golden State Warriors' Game 2 victory over the Denver Nuggets, Stephen Curry put a scare into his team and fans when he took a bad step and rolled his ankle. Curry has had issues with spraining his ankles and has even had multiple surgeries on his right ankle to repair damage done.
After rolling his left ankle this time against the Nuggets, Curry will be a game-time decision for Game 3 on Friday night, according to Warriors' coach Mark Jackson in a Tweet from the team on Friday afternoon.
Curry re-entered Game 2 after hurting his ankle and helped lead his team to a 131-117 win over a Nuggets team that hadn't lost a home game since January 18. The Warriors shot a historic 64.6 percent from the field that night, with 30 points and 13 assists coming from Curry. Amazingly, his 56.5 percent shooting for the game brought down the team's percentage.
The Warriors are already without power forward David Lee, who tore his hip flexor in a Game 1 loss to Denver.
