Warrant Issued In Killing Of San Jose Hells Angels President
SAN JOSE (CBS/AP) - Police in California and Nevada are looking for a 53-year-old member of a motorcycle gang accused of killing the president of the San Jose chapter of the rival Hells Angels club at a casino.
An arrest warrant unsealed Thursday says Ernesto Manuel Gonzalez, of San Jose, is the member of the Vagos gang who killed Jeffery "Jethro" Pettigrew inside the casino in Sparks last weekend.
Police said Pettigrew was shot four times in the back. They said security video shows Gonzalez approaching Pettigrew with a gun before casino patrons appear to react to gunfire. Pettigrew falls to the floor, then Gonzalez puts the gun in his waistband and flees. His whereabouts are unknown.
The district attorney suspects the Hells Angels are looking for him too.
