OAKLAND (CBS SF) - A rash of shootings in Oakland over the past 24 hours has left two men dead and several other people wounded.

Police identified 28-year-old Christopher Ingram, of Fairfield, as the man who was fatally shot near the corner of 73rd and Bancroft avenues near the Eastmont Mall in East Oakland at about 12:05 p.m. on Monday.

Police spokeswoman Cynthia Perkins said passersby took Ingram to the nearby Oakland police substation at the mall, she said.

Paramedics were called and Ingram was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:40 p.m., Perkins said.

The motive for the shooting is unknown, and no one has been arrested, according to Perkins.

Dionte Freeman, an 18-year-old Oakland man, was killed in a shooting in the 800 block of 32nd Street of Oakland at about 8:27 p.m. Monday in which three other people also were shot, Perkins said.

Freeman and the three other victims were taken to hospitals and Freeman was pronounced dead at 9:12 p.m., Perkins said.

The other three victims are in stable condition, according to Perkins. Two of the surviving victims are males and one is female.

The motive for the shooting is unknown and no one has been arrested, Perkins said.

She said anyone with information about either shooting should call the Oakland Police Department's homicide section at (510) 238-3821.

Perkins said there were three additional non-fatal shootings Monday night and early Tuesday.

She said the first occurred in the 1400 block of 84th Avenue at about 9 p.m.; the second was in the 1400 block of 47th Avenue at about 1 a.m.; and the third occurred in the 10700 block of Pippin Street at approximately 2:30 a.m.
