Victims Of Vallejo Nail Salon Shooting Expected To Survive
VALLEJO (CBS / AP) -- Vallejo police released new details about Monday's shootout at a strip mall nail salon in which five people were wounded, including a toddler.
Police responded to reports of shots fired there around 7 p.m. Monday.
Sgt. Kevin Hamrick said a man walked into the nail salon and opened fire. It's not clear who his target was.
Another man inside shot back, and the two men and a third suspect then continued the shootout outside.
Multiple stores in the area were struck by gunfire.
Hamrick said the toddler—a girl—was in critical condition but is expected to survive. The other four victims, two men and two women, suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Police have no motive, but Hamrick said they have made one arrest in connection with the shooting.
