#VeteransForKaepernick Voice Support For Quarterback's Protest
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – Colin Kaepernick's protest against the national anthem has ruffled feathers, to say the least.
Critics say the 49ers quarterback's refusal to stand while "The Star Spangled Banner" plays is disrespectful to military veterans. Meanwhile, veterans who support Kaepernick's protest are posting on Twitter under the hashtag #VeteransForKaepernick.
Tweets from people identifying themselves as military veterans include pictures of themselves in uniform, along with messages of support.

Kaepernick has said he'll continue his protest ahead of Thursday night's preseason game in San Diego against the Chargers, which will air at 7 p.m. on KPIX 5 in the Bay Area.
The Chargers said the game will feature the team's 28th annual salute to the military. A team spokesman said the timing is purely coincidental.
