Vehicle fire shut down part of southbound I-880 in Oakland
Part of Interstate 880 in Oakland was closed Monday evening due to a vehicle fire, the California Highway Patrol said.
The vehicle fire happened north of 23rd Avenue in the southbound direction of I-880, around 5:47 p.m., and it caused two right lanes to be shut down.
All lanes were reopened just before 6:30 p.m.
