Vegetation Fire Along Interstate 580, Altamont Pass In Alameda County Contained
LIVERMORE (CBS SF) -- Firefighters have contained a vegetation fire that burned along Interstate Highway 580 in the Altamont Pass in eastern Alameda County Monday afternoon.
Cal Fire's SCU unit tweeted Monday that the fire was about three to five acres and moving up a hill in the area of I-580 and Grant Line Road.
As of 4:50 p.m., Cal Fire said incident commanders are reporting the fire was contained.
The fire burned about five acres, Cal Fire officials said.
