Vallejo Teen Hospitalized After On Campus Knifing
Vallejo school officials say a senior at Hogan High School in was hospitalized after being slashed with a knife by another student at the school Tuesday morning.
Vallejo City Unified School District spokeswoman Tish Busselle says it happened shortly before classes started at 7:50 a.m.
She says a male student, a senior, walked up to the victim and an altercation ensued, and the victim was slashed several times on the face and neck with a small knife.
The 17-year-old victim was accompanied by his mother to a local hospital to be treated.
Busselle says the victim was released later in the day.
Police arrested the 17 year old suspect a few hours later while he was walking in the area of the high school, on Rosewood Ave.
He was arrested on suspicion of robbery for allegedly taking 3 dollars from the victim during the attack.
Police say the victim and suspect know each other but they do not have a motive for the attack.
