Vallejo Shoplifting Suspects Sought After Pepper Spray Attack
VELLEJO (CBS SF) -- Vallejo police were looking for two suspects who stole merchandise from a Kohl's and a Safeway store and pepper-sprayed store security guards who tried to detain them.
The male and female suspects took merchandise from the Kohl's department store at 1190 Admiral Callaghan Lane on July 10 and a Safeway store at 709 Lincoln Rd. W. on Monday, Sgt. Jeff Bassett said.
The female suspect pepper-sprayed one of the loss prevention officers who tried to detain them at each location, Bassett said.
The suspects fled the Kohl's store in a black, convertible Chrysler Sebring with a California license plate of 6VIW642, Bassett said. The vehicle is registered in Hayward, Bassett said.
Police released photos of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call (707) 648-4342 or Vallejo police at (800) 488-9383.
