Vallejo Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Pimping 16-Year-Old Girl
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- A Vallejo man was arrested on suspicion of pimping and human trafficking after being found with a 16-year-old allegedly working as a prostitute, Santa Rosa police said.
Patrick Emuel Moore III, 30, was arrested Wednesday after police contacted a 16-year-old girl as part of a drug investigation at a hotel on Cleveland Avenue.
The girl initially provided a false name and date of birth, but eventually admitted to being 16 and working as a prostitute, according to police.
In further interviews, the girl indicated she had been forced into prostitution when she was 12. When her initial pimp was sent to prison she briefly lived in a group home, but eventually ran away and ended up working as a prostitute again, police said.
Further interviews determined the man with her was allegedly acting as her pimp, police said.
Moore was arrested on suspicion of pimping and human trafficking and also on a 2008 warrant, with bail set at $226,000. Investigators found he had previous arrests including one in 2008 for pimping and a conviction for unlawful intercourse with a minor, police said.
The girl was put in contact with Verity, a local group that provides rape counseling and support.
