USF Defeats Portland In WCC Tournament
LAS VEGAS (CBS / AP) -- Rashad Green and Angelo Caloiaro scored 19 points each to lead San Francisco to an 87-66 victory against Portland in the second round of the West Coast Conference tournament on Thursday night.
Perris Blackwell added 15 points for the fifth-seeded Dons (18-13), who play No. 4 seed Loyola Marymount in a quarterfinal game on Friday.
Nemanja Mitrovic scored 16 points and made four 3-pointers for the eighth-seeded Pilots (6-24).
Portland never led and trailed 51-32 at the break. The Dons piled on 19 points in a two-minute run early in the second half to put the game way out of reach, 66-37.
San Francisco outrebounded Portland 40-34. The Dons shot 51 percent (31 of 61) from the floor to the Pilots' 40 percent (25 of 63).
