Undercover Sweep Of Pleasant Hill Massage Parlors Nets 3 Prostitution Arrests
PLEASANT HILL (CBS SF) -- An undercover sweep of three Pleasant Hill massage parlors led to the arrests of three women suspected of prostitution, police said.
Anonymous tips and complaints about several local massage businesses led up to the undercover arrests last week, Pleasant Hill police Sgt. Gary Brown said.
Police said that around noon last Thursday, undercover officers arrested a woman identified as 58-year-old Youyan Feng on suspicion of prostitution at the Healing Garden Spa located at 200 Gregory Lane.
About 40 minutes later, officers arrested Ying Wang, 31, also for alleged prostitution, at the Happy 8 spa at 52 Golf Club Road, police said.
Both women were cited and released, according to police.
Brown said police arrested a third woman on suspicion of prostitution on Wednesday evening at Kai's New Life Spa at 2624 Pleasant Hill Road.
The woman was taken to county jail in Martinez after giving officers a fake name. She remained in custody as of Thursday afternoon as police work to determine her identity, the sergeant said.
