U2 To Surpass Rolling Stones For Highest-Grossing Concert Tour
OAKLAND (KFRC/CBS) - The Rolling Stones have laid claim to the highest grossing tour of all time award, but it looks like the U2 360 tour will eclipse that. Once the receipts have been fully counted from U2's performance in Sao Paolo's Morumbi Stadium, the tour will have pulled in more than $558 million, and it's still going strong as they make their way to the Bay Area on Tuesday, June 7th at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Billboard estimates that by the time the tour ends, the band will have grossed more that $700 million large. Currently a single U2 date grosses $6.4 Million and plays to an average crowd of 63,600 fans.
