2 Children Hospitalized After Suffering Burns, Jumping From Window During 2-Alarm San Jose Fire
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A two-alarm fire in San Jose Thursday morning injured a mother and two children, all burn victims, according to fire officials.
The first report of the fire came in at 8:05 a.m. in the 1900 block of Story Road, a fire dispatcher said.
KCBS' Matt Bigler is at the scene, where he says the two children were forced to jump from the second story to avoid further burns.
Neighbors are being credited for helping at least one family member escape by smashing windows.
The children are their mother are now hospitalized with what are being called critical burns.
