TV Everywhere Poised To Go Mainstream In 2015
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A new study from Adobe predicts that TV Everywhere will become a mainstream success this year.
The study finds that TV Everywhere, where premium TV shows are streamed to multiple connected devices, came in at 13-percent of pay-TV subscribers in 2014, doubling the number from the year before.
NBC benefited from its promotion of TV Everywhere during the winter Olympics in Sochi, and HBO Go was the most popular streaming service.
Adobe predicts that TV Everywhere usage will grow to 18-percent of pay-TV subscribers this year, and it also forecasts that online viewing on mobile devices will top desktop viewing by the fourth quarter of 2016.
