The shooting was reported just after 10 p.m. in the 2800 block of Alum Rock Avenue, SJPD Sgt. Jason Dwyer said.
One of the three men suffered life-threatening injuries while the other two suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.
The shooting was connected to the Hoang Hon Bar and Restaurant at 2852 Alum Rock Ave., Dwyer said, but investigators were still trying to piece together whether the shooting happened inside or outside the restaurant.
