Tree topples on Highway 13 in Oakland, blocking southbound lanes
A fallen tree shut down a portion of state Highway 13 in Oakland early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
All southbound lanes of Highway 13 were closed from Redwood Road to Interstate Highway 580.
The lanes are expected to reopen around 6 a.m., according to the CHP. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes until then.
