Trade Down With Titans Adds To 49ers' Draft-Pick Pool
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CBS/AP) -- The Tennessee Titans have added a home-state product in Tennessee wide receiver Justin Hunter after trading with the San Francisco 49ers to move up six picks in the second round of the NFL draft.
Tennessee traded the 40th overall pick, a seventh-round pick and a 2014 third-round selection to San Francisco on Friday in order to get Hunter with the 34th overall pick in the draft.
Hunter tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in September 2011. He caught 73 passes for 1,083 yards and nine touchdowns last fall.
This marks the second straight year the Titans drafted a receiver early. The Titans used their first-round pick last year on Kendall Wright, who caught 64 passes for 626 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie.
