Toys 'R' Us Stores Extend Hours Before Christmas
EMERYVILLE (KCBS) _ Last minute shoppers are getting a reprieve as Toys 'R' Us stores nationwide will remain open for 88 straight hours of shopping.
The Toys 'R' Us in Emeryville opened its doors at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, with many early morning shoppers like Angela Smith getting the best deals.
"I'm ready to get my LEGOs and go back to bed," she said.
KCBS' Tim Ryan Reports:
For the first time company spokesperson Adrienne Giordano said Toys 'R' Us stores nationwide will stay open 24 hours a day until 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
"This was really about convenience and making sure that the consumers can shop when they want and when they need to," Giordano said.
The stores are holding toy specials from midnight to 6 a.m. as an incentive for late night and early morning shoppers.
