(credit: Thinkstock)

California is a leisure state, and that carries over into work and play. In other states, you wouldn't even try to get into some clubs without looking at the dress code. In the Bay Area where hoodies and jeans are standard attire, it's hard to find a place to go to where everyone dresses up. Go against the grain and dress to impress while you dance and drink the night away. These stylish nightclubs not only suggest you get dressed up — they require it.
