Tom Hanks Writes About Experiences At Hayward's Chabot College, Voices Support For Free Access
HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- Actor Tom Hanks penned an op-ed on his experiences at Hayward's Chabot College, and voiced his support for the President's plan to make two years of free community college available to millions of Americans.
Hanks, a graduate from Oakland's Skyline High School with "lousy SAT scores" ended up Chabot's Dean's List, he wrote in the New York Times piece.
Hanks summed up his experience to his children, saying "That place made me what I am today."
