Toddler Injured In Fall From Antioch Home
ANTIOCH (CBS/AP) - Authorities report that a toddler was taken to the hospital with major head injuries after falling out of a second story window at a home in Antioch when the screen gave way.
The 2-year-old boy was unconscious when authorities arrived at the home on the 5600 block of Plumbridge Way Wednesday afternoon. He was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Oakland.
Fire officials said the boy, who was home with his three sisters, appears to have pushed against the screen before falling 15 feet to the driveway below. Contra Costa County Fire Capt. Ben Sanders said the boy landed on his head.
