3-Year-Old Killed In East Oakland Shooting
OAKLAND (KCBS) – A three-year-old boy was killed and two men were injured in an apparent drive-by shooting in East Oakland Monday afternoon.
Oakland Police spokeswoman Holly Joshi said the incident happened shortly after 1 p.m. in the 6500 block of International Boulevard.
Two men were found injured in front of a Little Caesars pizza restaurant at 6447 International Blvd.and were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The boy, who was with his family when the shooting occurred, was taken to Children's Hospital of Oakland where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe that the two men were the intended targets and that the boy had no connection to the men, Joshi said.
"As our officers arrived on the scene, they located three victims: two male adults suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot injuries and a three-year-old boy suffering from life-threatening injuries," Joshi said.
The suspect or suspects shot the victims from a passing car, but no vehicle description was immediately available.
Police closed International Boulevard between 64th and 66thavenues for the investigation.
