Thousands Lose Power In Fremont
FREMONT (CBS SF) -- Power was restored to more than 6,000 PG&E customers in Fremont Tuesday, with about 100 customers without power Tuesday evening.
A blown fuse and downed wire on Beard Road, just north of Whitehead Lane, cut off power to about 6,200 PG&E customers at around 8:45 a.m., PG&E spokeswoman Brittany McKannay said.
Power was restored to about 4,800 customers as of 9:15 a.m.
As of about 4:15 p.m., the number of customers affected was down to about 100, McKannay said.
Crews remained in the area working to repair wires and completely restore power to all customers, McKannay said.
