Power Slowly Returning For Thousands In Benicia After Cable Failure
BENICIA (KCBS) — Power has been restored to all but 1,400 of the 3,600 customers who lost their electricity in Benicia Friday morning.
There was no immediate estimate for when the power will be restored to the remaining customers, PG&E spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers said.
The outage was caused by the failure of an underground cable, Ehlers said.
The areas near West L Street, Church Street and Southampton Road were affected by the outage.
Some schools in the area were also affected.
